This film for WWF Spain was one of those projects that arrive with a very short brief but a subject you genuinely care about. Created to raise awareness around Earth Overshoot Day, the piece explores the moment when humanity's annual demand for natural resources exceeds what the planet can regenerate in the same year. It’s a tricky concept, but the goal was to communicate it in a way that felt accessible, engaging, and visually memorable.
I led the project from concept to final delivery, developing the narrative, writing the script, creating the storyboard, directing the visual approach, and animating the entire film. The illustrations were crafted by the ever-talented Ramón Colmo, whose work brought warmth and personality to the story while perfectly supporting the visual language we set out to create.
A project that paired a tailor-made visual story with a message that felt worth telling. Exactly the kind of project I signed up for.
