Final assignment for School of Motion's course Illustration for Motion.
Concept and styleframes for a 30 second promotional video for the Annual Wizards and Witches Mountain Retreat, hosted by Camp Cloakwood. This is a fictional overnight camp for adults to indulge in their childhood spooky fantasies.
The main guideline was making the mood eerie while keeping it lighthearted and fun.

Animation Plan

I picture a dynamic animation with smooth transitions and a quirky steppy touch all along. The piece would be brought to life through a blend of keyframe animation and cel animation (preferably on 2s) for some elements (smoke, morphing wand, flipping book pages...) to add to the hand-drawn feeling of the design.
