EXTE
–
2023
EXTE sits at the intersection of media, technology, and creativity — and this explainer by Clint was designed to reflect exactly that: a fast, clean, and highly dynamic visual system that feels as agile as the platform itself.

The challenge here wasn’t just to explain a complex ad-tech ecosystem, but to do it with clarity and momentum. The animation needed to stay light, modern, and precise, with a rhythm that constantly pushes the viewer forward without losing readability. I was responsible for animating a large part of the piece, focusing heavily on timing, spacing, and overall motion energy to keep everything sharp and engaging.

As always with Clint, the project was a great balance between technical problem-solving and refined motion design craft.
Rigging some dots

A key part of my contribution was the development of a custom rig for a patterned grid of coloured dots, which became a flexible tool throughout several sequences.

Building this system from scratch took some experimentation, but it quickly proved invaluable. It allowed for fast iteration on movement ideas and helped maintain consistency across fast-paced scenes, while still leaving room for playful variation when needed.
