Selling a hemorrhoid treatment in 20 seconds is already a challenge. Doing it with animation, humour and visual wit is another story entirely. Created for Servier by the talented folks at Clint, this spot is packed with visual wordplay, playful transitions, and a graphic style that constantly shifts between flat design and the illusion of depth.

I was responsible for animating several key scenes, developing the fake 3D character and object rigs, and building the texturing system that became a defining part of the film’s visual identity.

"Shall I tell you a secret? The problem is in keeping quiet, talk to your doctor."

Textures!

While the animation itself presented plenty of interesting challenges, the texturing process was by far the most demanding aspect of the project. The goal was to create rich, grainy volumes that felt tactile and dimensional without sacrificing flexibility in animation.

To make that possible, I developed a parametric workflow that combined multiple effects directly within the original shape layers, keeping the rig structure lightweight while maintaining full control over the look. A technical challenge, certainly, but also one of the most rewarding parts of the production.
