I teamed up with Clint is good to animate this explainer video for AMR (Arctic Mineral Resources). AIM 4-0 (Aim For Zero) is a showcase for modern and sustainable mining in Vevring in the beautiful Førdefjord. It combines the extraction of armour stone and industrial minerals while achieving zero tailings deposits, zero waste, zero permanent footprint, and zero conflict with locals and environmentalists.
This was a tough one, being realism a must for the client. I got to build a fairly complex rig for the eagle as well as the rigs for the human characters. I also animated hands frame by frame – always a demanding but rewarding job. I lost count of the layers involved in the parallax motion throughout the entire project. And lastly, I worked on my zen while customizing the lights and shadows for each element (huge thanks to Plugin Everything for their fantastic plugin Shadow Studio).
